Mussel Beach is off grid, no power (12 volt to charge devices and run lights in the trailer) and no running water, it is truly a place to unplug. Cedar outhouses and outdoor heated showers are minutes away. All 3 of our Cozy Trailers have a luxurious queen bed, furnace, and comfortable, private seating area. The kitchen is fully stocked, oils, vinegars, spices, hot drinks and condiments. Outdoors you will find your own hammock, barbecue, camp stove, picnic table, adirondack chairs and propane fire pit. A short trail to your own private fire pit. We take pride in our attention to detail, you will find flashlights, solar lights, binoculars, games, towels, umbrella, blankets etc. Everything you need and more!
Due to the wildlife in the area we cannot accommodate pets.
There are 3 clean cedar sided out houses minutes away. The 4 cedar heated showers are gravity fed and also minutes away.
Yes we have both WIFI and CELL service at So Damn Lucky Glamping's office only. Telus has a cell tower not too far from us that helps with nice mobile reception, and we also purchased STARLINK for latest satellite based and fast internet speeds. Please note while Starlink is a wonderful invention to provide internet to remote locations, it’s will never be as solid speed as home based residential internet in a big city and weather could effect anything satellite. You can read more about STARLINK here.
It is approximately 30 minutes to Ukee or Long Beach and 50 minutes to Tofino. Many guests make the trip daily to explore the whole area and many stay put at Mussel Beach to just chillax.
All our glamping units have a propane fire pit (propane tank rental $30). There is a fire pit on the beach where you can burn our wood ($15 for a tote), unless there is a fire ban in our area. No outside wood or beach wood to be burnt in the pit.
We supply a cooler with ice packs for our Safari Tents, our Trailers have fridge/freezer. All our units have bbq, camp stove, pots, pans, kettle, coffee press, stove top espresso maker, cutlery, bowls, dishes, colander, grater, knives, cutting board, oils, vinegars, spices, creamer, sugar, honey, and hot drinks.
All you need to bring is food, drink, beach towel, slippers, shower shoes and biodegradable toiletries. We also recommend beach shoes for exploring tide pools.
We supply you with both wash and drinking water.

No, really you just have to go slow (20-30km/h). We don't recommend low lying vehicles, such as sports cars. Depending on the condition of the gravel road, it can take 20-30 minutes drive.

If booked fewer than 30 days before check-in, full refund for cancellations made within 48 hours of booking and at least 14 days before check-in. After that, 50% refund up to 7 days before check-in. No refund after that. All cancellations will be subject to a $30 administration fee. Due to our limited season, our cancellation policy is firm. We recommend you get travel insurance to cover any unexpected eventualities.

Hear what some of our wonderful guests have to say about glamping at Mussel Beach.
I needed a solo retreat, I needed Mother Ocean - and the Stardust wall tent, at So Damn Lucky Glamping, met my needs perfectly. I had ten wonderful days alone at Mussel Beach and was completely comfortable despite some intense weather. The wall tent was dry and warm (thank you, woodstove!) and I cooked some delicious meals in the outdoor kitchen. The campground closes their gates in the evening so I felt safe, and with the tent some 20 metres from high water, I was filled with the energy of the ocean. Danielle and Mark are generous hosts and I would be very happy to return any time.
They pretty much have everything you need to glamp - even Siracha sauce! We wanted to try glamping and had experienced both the tent and RV units, both of which were well-equipped. The RV had a fridge and also a stove top to cook, while the tent had a wood-burning stove to help keep you warm throughout colder nights. The bed comfort in the tent was perfect for us, and they included flashlights and a charging brick for cell phones.
We had an amazing time, the directions were very clear and the dirt road was in excellent condition for a dirt road. The tent was clean, had everything we could need and it was so beautiful. The hot showers were such an awesome amenity. We can't recommend it enough.
Beautiful ocean views, relaxing vibes and cozy accommodations. A must try for anyone! Mark and Danielle make sure the tents and trailers are equipped with everything you may need. Pack some clothes, food and drinks and head out for a lovely holiday at So Damn Lucky Glamping
